I had the opportunity to attend a class from the 7 Gypsies Designers Paula Cheney and Deb Crouse. I have been following their blog for as long as I can remember and have dreamed of taking one of their classes. Everyone in the scrappin’ world knows who these amazing women are, and if you don’t, then you have been scrappin’ in your basement far too long and you need to get out! I have heard nothing but great things about these special women and so my expectations were quite high…. Let me tell you, they did not disappoint. They were two of the nicest women I have had the opportunity to meet and take a class from. Enthusiastic, friendly & fun..... and boy do they know their stuff! The product and prep work in their kits is amazing and I had a wonderful time learning new techniques and completing my project.
Many thanks to Paula and Deb for coming all this way to teach us; I haven't had this much fun in a long time!
The class was the newest product from 7 Gypsies – The “Mini Drawer” and they created a “My Ten” project. I chose to do mine to showcase my ten most favorite photos of my family.
Take the time to pop on over to their amazing blog “One Lucky Day” and you will be inspired to create….
Here are a few pics of me and the Gypsies and my project.
The mini bottles with labels are my favorite.
Hide your treasures under this hinged lid across the third section of the mini drawer
Here are just a few of the 47 tags that are in the mini drawer.
I also had the opportunity to take a Shabby Chic class from the amazing Lynn Thune and a Tim Holtz make-n'-take from Lori but I'll elaborate more on these classes in a future blog post.
Til next time... Enjoy!
We had such a great time at the Nakoda Retreat. Lori from Scrap Yard did a fabulous job putting on the event. We got to see old friends and make many new friends. Thanks Valery for the kind words.
