Sadly this is my last post as a design team member over at Let's Scrap. Hard to believe that it has been 6 months already and time for me to move on to other challenges. I have thoroughly enjoyed being a member of this team of amazing women. It has challenged me to create more layouts and cards and I have met many friends along the way. Thanks to the followers for all the encouragment and kind words each week and for being such an important part of my day. I will continue to follow the forum and groups and submit my take on the sketches every now and then. So this is not goodbye... it's... I'll see you in the gallery!

Sweet Life Journal Prize
If you are searching for the Where Bloggers Create Blog Party, please click here. I want to thank everyone who visited my Blog celebrating the Where Bloggers Create Party last weekend and leaving me such kind comments. I am happy to report that I did make my way through the 300+ participants and if I didn't leave you a comment; it's because, for some unknown reason, I was unable to post to your blog.
Have you ever had one of those days when nothing goes right? Well that was my day last week until a package arrived from the UPS guy! I have been stalking the delivery guy for weeks now, every time his truck turns onto my street, I am at the door ready to sign for my package... and today was MY day! Last month I won The Sweet Life Journal prize from 7 Gypsies and what an amazing prize package. 44 items in the box including the brand new Mykonos book cover, paper packs and journal pages... so stay tuned for an upcoming project featuring this line after my trip to Greece this summer.
This really is an amazing prize package and it could not have come at a better time. A huge thank you to 7 Gypsies... love your products!

Where THIS Blogger Creates
I’m thrilled to be a part of the third annual ”Where Bloggers Create” blog party. For those who are visiting my blog but don't know what this is all about; this party is hosted by Karen Valentine of My Desert Cottage. It's a great way to be inspired by other creative people. The blog party showcases new ideas on how to decorate your creative space and if you are in need of some inspiration to get your creative juices flowing take some time to visit the creative spaces of all these wonderful bloggers. Hop on over to Karen's blog: My Desert Cottage and get started.
I am a scrapbooker, a quilter, a seamstress and a collector of anything that jumps off the shelves in an antique store! I’ve been a seamstress since I was 12 years old making all of my children’s clothing… they are now 21 and 26 and don’t need me to make their clothes anymore! I have been designing and making baby blankets for over 10 years and in 2008, through the insistence of a friend, I started my own business. I regularly search antique stores, flea markets, garage sales and dollar stores for anything that speaks “junque”. I love anything with a vintage feel or that I can distress into altered art pieces.
I am very fortunate to have two rooms that I can let my creative juices flow. I have a fabulous sewing room and just adjacent to that is my scrapbooking room. I spend a great deal of time in these two rooms when I am not working. They may not be the most glamorous or the biggest but I love them and I love spending my free time creating in them.
As you browse through my rooms, you will notice a common theme of white furniture. I love white as I think it goes with just about anything… and I can move things from one room to the other as another one of my hobbies is reorganizing.
I’m so happy to be participating in this year’s party… thanks for stopping by and taking the time to look at both of my rooms. I would love for you to leave me a comment and sign up as a follower and as a small token of my appreciation I will randomly choose one name to receive a personalized baby blanket in their choice of pink/white or blue/white.
The certificate will be valid for 2011 and you can check out my blankets at Sun 7 Designs.
Now I’m off to visit the other spaces…
The first room you are visiting is my fabulous sewing room with my proudest possession being my sewing table that my father-in-law custom built for me. It will always be my pride and joy and brings me many happy memories as he is no longer with us.
I have a fascination with dress forms.... here are a few table top ones that I have collected over the years.
My second room is my scrapbooking room and for me, the highlight in this room is my antique typewriter, still in working order and I continue to use on a lot of my creations.
Check out this fantastic find that I snagged at the local antique sale a few weeks ago... this great drawer cabinet holds all my Tim Holtz dies and various ephemera. Just love it with the beautiful vintage doilie on top.
This is a metal cupcake holder that I painted white and added some votive candle holders in each ring to hold all my bits & pieces.
As you walk into the room you can see my cute sock monkey who keeps en eye on my Cricut cartridges.
Thanks for stopping by and taking a peek at my rooms. Enjoy wandering the creative spaces of those listed on Karen's blog. Maybe they will inspire you to design a space of your own in which you can create.

Let's Scrap Challenge
All my scrapbooking layouts are about family, friends, vacations, sports and other memorable events and I rarely do pages about me. In the 10+ years that I have been scrapbooking I can count on one hand the number of pages that include photos of myself or are about me. Usually I don’t like any photos that are taken of me but I’m starting to realize that once I am gone and leave all my albums to my children there will be no pages of me for them to look at. So my challenge this week at Let's Scrap is to create a layout using one of the Let’s Scrap sketches and make it all about you! This is your opportunity to reflect on yourself and make it all about you! Here is my creation... I love this page and think it just may be the title page to my next album.
I Would love to see what you create and there will be a small prize for the randomly chosen winner, so hop on over to Let's Scrap and submit your layout.
