Looking for a cute and very quick handmade gift for a baby shower.... try making these adorable baby hangers. I found some wooden hangers in my local craft store and decided to make a set of two as a baby gift. They are the perfect addition to add to a baby outfit that you may be giving to someone special.
Start by sanding down the wooden hanger using light sand paper and painting it white.
Then I chose some pink paislee paper for the front and a coordinating pattern for the back. Trace the hanger onto the paper and cut out four shapes.
Using white glue, glue the patterned papers to each side of the hanger. Once dry, lightly sand the edges to remove any paper overhang.
I then did a light coat of golden gel medium (matte finish) on each side just to protect the hanger from normal wear and tear. While this was drying I painted the two small wooden frames that I also got at my local craft store.
Here is a picture of the front and back once each side was coated with gel medium
I then decorated the tiny wooden frames with buttons and twine and added some ribbon and here is the finished product.

Choose to be Happy!
If you are searching for the Scrap That! Mini Album class please scroll down or click on the link to the right under Blog Archive.
I have always known that I have the best friends and family in the world! I have friends that I don't speak to often but when we get together it's like we've never been apart! We pick up right where we left off and the friendship is just as close as it was when it was formed years ago.
I spent this past week in New York with 5 best friends - "Six in the City" and had a blast! Non-stop laughter, which does a body good.
I believe that everyone has a choice when they get out of bed in the morning and my choice is always "to be happy". My kids will tell you that the only thing that I asked of them on a daily basis was "do and say something nice every day". They would come home from school and I would ask what they did or said today that made someone happy. I'm sure they were sick of me asking, but I think I instilled in them that they could make someone's day just by doing something nice or saying something nice to someone! I feel better if I make someone else happy and sometimes that little act of kindness is the only positive thing that person will receive that day.
So today... I dare you... choose to be happy!

Scrap That! Tag & Mini Envelope Album Class
Scrap That! Tag & Envelope Mini Album and Card Class featuring the Melissa Frances 5th Avenue Collection
Melissa Frances Scrapbooking products are timeless and everlasting. We immediately fell in love with the new Melissa Frances 5th Avenue product line and knew that we had to create a very special kit FULL of everything needed to create a timeless and everlasting keepsake.
The elegant pastel palette and the lovely graphics give the 5th Avenue collection a decidedly Victorian feel but with a wonderfully romantic, shabby - vintage style. The papers are special on their own but combined with Melissa Frances Trinkets & Baubles, Mini Envelopes and Tags, Vintage Embellishments, Rub-On Transfers, Die Cuts, Stickers, and Crepe Paper, the result is nothing short of truly spectacular!
In this class you will create a gorgeous envelope and tag mini album, with enough product leftover to create two exquisite cards (if class time permits), and two different crepe paper flowers. Everything you need to complete these projects is included in the cost of the class which will be 3 hours.
Please bring your basic tool kit, a cropodile or single hole punch, wet & dry adhesives and your favourite pastel inks if you wish to ink your papers.
Class Cost is $49.99. There are only 10 spots available for this wonderful class so sign up early.
