Aloha & Mahalo Hawaii

Sadly our two weeks in Kailua-Kona (or Paradise as I like to call it) has come to an end and in just a few hours we will be on the plane heading back to reality!

For any of you who have this hot spot listed on your “bucket list” I suggest you move it to the top of the list. This place is simply amazing; from its warm friendly hospitality and laid back lifestyle to the freshness of the local markets, sun sand and sea. There are not enough hours in a day to experience everything that this island has to offer, but we made the best of it. My top three things would have to be; whale watching on the “Body Glove” tour boat, watching the sun set every day at 6pm from our bedroom lanai and the many different and beautiful flowers.
I had my camera around my neck and was prepared for every shot, I didn’t want to miss a thing. So if you decide on a vacation to the Big Island, remember your camera ‘cause the only bad photograph is the one you didn't take!
Hawaii's beauty is so unusual that everyone takes pictures, but not everyone takes good photos. Here are some tips to take the kind of shots anyone could take!

Keep your camera handy - and the battery charged
Remember your favorite spots
Be in the photo
Use your camera's scene modes
Get up close
Go panoramic
Fun shots
Dive underwater
Print your photos

Here are a few of my favourite shots…..

‘Til next time, Enjoy!
