Remember the Date

If you are looking for a fast & fun project or a quick gift, take a look at this easy-to-make "Remember the Date" mini book. I used chipboard for the front and back covers and covered it with patterned papers. I used double sided patterned papers for the inside pages. I printed off each month onto white card stock, trimmed it down to fit on the patterned paper, added a few embellishments and presto... you have a cute mini book to keep track of all the important dates in your busy life.

It only took me a couple of hours to make this one for my daughter. She's only been asking me for one for months now, so I finally got it done in time for her birthday. Happy Birthday Meagan!

"This Moment" Canvas

These are favourite photos of my great-niece looking through the window at the butterfly display at the zoo. I wanted to make a canvas as a gift for her Mother so I stamped the edges of a 12"x12" white painter's canvas using a mini scroll stamp and Ancient Page Aegean Blue ink. I adhered the layout to the top of the canvas.

I love the way she is reflected in the window and the fact that she is mesmerized by the beauty of the butterflies.
