I Love this week's sketch at Let's Scrap and, again, I only did the left side! Clean lines with the simple retro look. An easy sketch to work with this week.
Love these photos... is she not the cutest? I had a lot of fun with this layout and it really was very fast and simple to create.
I cut out a pair of glasses from a magazine and then used some diamond glaze for added dimension.
I created this border strip from matching patterned paper and, after soaking in it water, I crumpled it and added a few matching buttons.
and.... the banner was just created by fussy cutting from the "Kitch" line of The Girls' Paperie...... I'm really loving banners lately and have used different ones on most of my recent layouts.
Hop on over to Let's Scrap and take a look at what the other design team members have created using this week's sketch.

My Pink Umbrella
Here is this week's sketch challenge at Let's Scrap
Lately I have been a fan of one-pagers so I just did the left side of the sketch. These are photos of Dale, Meagan and I in Peebles Scotland. The rain came on and I had a chance again to use "my pink umbrella". I loved this umbrella (mainly because it was pink) and carried it with me everywhere I went until a windstorm blew it inside out in Oxford England. My friend Janice has since given me a new one to take with me to England this summer... Thanks Janice!
I fussy cut the umbrellas and rain boots from some digital downloads that I purchased on Etsy... they were so cute!

Scrap That Trio Class
RESCHEDULED TO SEPTEMBER 11, 2011 1-4PM
Just recently I had the opportunity to meet Lori Brown, owner of Scrap That!, an online scrapbooking and paper crafting kit company selling kits unlike any others in Canada and, after some brain-storming and planning, I am excited to annouce that the first Scrap That! Double-Page Trio Class will be held at the Scrap Yard in Calgary on Sunday June 26th from 1-4 pm at at cost of $49.00.
There are only 10 spots available for this class where we will be creating three 12x12 double-page layouts with the Scrap That "Don't Stop The Carnival" kit featuring the "My Minds Eys Union Square Collection". This kit is loaded with 10 papers and the colors and patterns bring to mind the bygone era of the Big Top. With a palette of black, tan and red, bold stripes, touches of glitter and old worn newsprint you'll imagine yourself enjoying an afternoon at the Carnival.
Take a look at these 3 layouts that I have created for this class and hop on over to Scrap That! and sign up for the class through their online store.

One 5x7 horizontal photo
One 5x7 vertical photo
Seven or Eight 2x2 photos

Quick & Easy Card
Just wanted to share a fun and easy card that I made for this weeks challenge at Let's Scrap. I used a "My Stamp Box" flower stamp and some plain cardstock scraps. Fussy cut the flowers and attached them to the card front with coordinating brads. Attach a piece of ribbon and the sentiment and in less than 20 minutes you have a cute and easy card.
